On July 29th, Vancouver Canucks Op Ed will be participating in Blogathon 2006. The event will raise money for Canucks Place Children’s Hospice, an amazing organization that does a great deal for the families of sick children in British Columbia.

July 29th - My Job

1) Blog about hockey (etc) every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. From 6:00 a.m. Saturday to 6:00 a.m. Sunday (PST).
2) I’m not permitted to write stuff ahead of time, so I reserve the right to produce an enormous amount of crap.

July 29th - Your Job

1) Send me inspiration. Keep me awake. Generally check in and hang out sometime during the event. Please.
2) Make a small (or large) pledge. Easy as pie. And I’ll be just as flattered by a $1 donation as by a larger one.

You DO NOT send me money. Just commit your pledge on the Blogathon site, then after the event you can send your donation DIRECTLY to the Canucks Place Children’s Hospice, either online or by sending a cheque/moneyorder.

Anyone who makes pledges can do so publicly or anonymously. And donors who have websites (or even if you don’t!) I’ll be happy to promote you - or your company - in whatever way I can.
